Wrong Wedding, Right Look
Victor Van Dort lives in a world where the dead have better dance moves than the living, and somehow he ends up engaged to both. The man just wanted a quiet Victorian wedding and instead got pulled into an underworld adventure while still wearing his suit. Respect, honestly.
The look is all nervous groom energy: gray coat, brown vest, muted pinstripes, slightly haunted expression. You bring the expression yourself, but everything else is covered.
Design & Details
Our in-house design team put real thought into nailing Victor’s specific palette — that desaturated, overcast Victorian color story that makes him look perpetually one bad omen away from fainting. The jacket is a medium weight polytwill with button front closure, and the brown vest is polywoven with its own button-down front, so the layering reads as intentional and complete.
The striped pants have an elastic waist for comfort, the tie is matte satin, and everything is 100% polyester. This is an officially licensed Corpse Bride costume, so the details align with Victor’s actual film appearance rather than a generic Victorian approximation.
Legally Single. Technically.
Victor’s whole arc is about showing up and doing the right thing, even when the situation is deeply, structurally weird. Wearing this costume means committing to that same energy: composed, slightly pale, impeccably dressed despite everything falling apart around you.
Underdressed? Never. Overwhelmed? Always. That’s Victor. That’s the look. I’m him now.
