Abnormal Animals
If you come across an animal that seems a little unusual, there’s a good chance that it might call Australia (or a nearby island) home. Most birds can fly. In fact, that’s kind of their specialty. But not the kiwi bird! Then there’s the koala bear. It’s adorable, but it’s not actually a bear. And, of course, we know that mammals don’t lay eggs, but platypuses do. We’re not sure why they all live in the same place, but it certainly makes for interesting safaris! And of course, even though they might be the exception to some of the laws of nature, they’re still completely adorable.
